Job Summary

The Administrative PSR Coordinator supports the effective and faith-filled operation of the Parish School of Religion (PSR) at Annunciation Parish. This role ensures smooth administrative and logistical functioning of the PSR program, helping to maintain a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven environment for students, catechists, and families. The coordinator works closely with the DRE, parish staff, and volunteers to support the religious education of children who do not attend Catholic schools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support:

    • Maintain PSR records, including student registration, attendance, and sacramental preparation.

    • Process tuition payments and financial records in coordination with the parish office.

    • Assist with communication between PSR families and the parish, including emails, newsletters, and phone outreach.

    • Order and manage supplies, textbooks, and catechetical materials.

  • Program Coordination:

    • Assist the DRE in scheduling PSR classes, events, and sacramental preparation sessions.

    • Help coordinate catechist meetings, training sessions, and classroom needs.

    • Support special liturgical events such as First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation Masses.

    • Help organize and maintain Safe Environment Program compliance documentation.

  • Communication & Outreach:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for PSR inquiries.

    • Update and maintain the PSR section of the parish website and bulletin.

    • Foster a welcoming environment for all PSR families and catechists.

Job Requirements

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and the teachings of the Church.

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in parish ministry, education, or administration is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic parish software (such as ParishSOFT or similar).

  • Must complete and maintain compliance with the Archdiocese’s Safe Environment Program.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
