Job Summary
The 4th Grade Teacher in a Catholic school is responsible for providing academic instruction, spiritual formation, and moral guidance in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. The teacher creates a faith-filled, academically challenging classroom that supports the development of the whole child—spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Job Responsibilities
Faith Formation and Catholic Identity

Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and worldview into all subject areas and classroom culture.

Lead daily prayer, attend school liturgies, and participate in religious celebrations and service projects.

Model a personal commitment to the Catholic faith through words and actions.

Support students in their spiritual growth and understanding of Catholic traditions and practices.
Instructional Responsibilities

Plan and implement lessons aligned with diocesan curriculum standards and state academic guidelines.

Teach core subjects including Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and support academic success for all.

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and guide instruction.

Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Classroom Management and Student Support

Create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.

Establish and enforce consistent classroom expectations and procedures.

Provide appropriate support for students' social-emotional development and behavior.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.

Valid teaching certification (state and/or diocesan requirements).

Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training and background check

Experience teaching in a Catholic school

Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Proficiency in integrating technology in the classroom.
