Aftercare Supervisor

Job Summary

The Aftercare Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight of students enrolled in the after-school care program. This individual ensures a safe, engaging, and supportive environment rooted in the values and teachings of the Catholic faith. The supervisor leads structured activities, supervises playtime, and fosters positive interactions among students while maintaining a respectful and faith-filled atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the aftercare program to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

• Plan and lead daily activities such as games, crafts, reading, and homework assistance.

• Maintain discipline in a manner consistent with Catholic values and school policies.

• Monitor sign-in and sign-out procedures for all students.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student behavior, injuries, or concerns.

• Ensure that all snacks, equipment, and facilities are used safely and maintained properly.

• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies; report incidents to administration.

• Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church and school.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to create a structured yet flexible environment for students.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to the Catholic faith and the mission of Catholic education.
