Job Summary

The Extended Day/Aftercare Aide provides supervision and care for students during the after-school program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment. The aide supports students’ social, emotional, and recreational needs while reinforcing the Catholic values of respect, kindness, and community.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise students during after-school hours, including indoor activities, homework time, snacks, and outdoor play.

  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.

  • Assist students with homework and school assignments as needed.

  • Encourage positive behavior and interpersonal respect consistent with Catholic teachings.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aftercare environment.

  • Communicate with parents and staff as necessary about student needs or concerns.

  • Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

  • Participate in team meetings and trainings as required.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood education coursework preferred.

  • Experience working with children in a supervised setting preferred.

  • Ability to manage groups of children effectively and with patience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Catholic school community.
