Job Summary

The Extended Day/Aftercare Aide provides supervision and care for students during the after-school program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment. The aide supports students’ social, emotional, and recreational needs while reinforcing the Catholic values of respect, kindness, and community.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise students during after-school hours, including indoor activities, homework time, snacks, and outdoor play.
Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
Assist students with homework and school assignments as needed.
Encourage positive behavior and interpersonal respect consistent with Catholic teachings.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aftercare environment.
Communicate with parents and staff as necessary about student needs or concerns.
Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Participate in team meetings and trainings as required.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood education coursework preferred.
Experience working with children in a supervised setting preferred.
Ability to manage groups of children effectively and with patience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Catholic school community.
