Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Middle School Science Teacher to join our Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will be passionate about science education and committed to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and morally in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. This position involves teaching science to students in grades 6–8, incorporating hands-on learning, critical thinking, and the integration of faith and reason into the curriculum.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons that align with diocesan standards and curriculum, integrating Catholic values where appropriate.

  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, creativity, respect, and academic excellence.

  • Incorporate various instructional strategies and technology to support diverse learning styles and student success.

  • Promote the dignity of every student and encourage moral development and responsible stewardship of God’s creation.

Job Requirements

  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods and communicate results with students and parents regularly.

  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to support student learning and school-wide goals.

  • Participate in school Masses, prayer services, religious celebrations, and ongoing spiritual development as a faculty member.

  • Maintain classroom management practices that reflect Gospel values and a respect for the individual.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and faith formation opportunities.

  • Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and Catholic identity of the school in all aspects of instruction and interaction.
