Job Summary
St Patrick Catholic School, Wentzville a Catholic school committed to the spiritual and academic formation of its students, is seeking a caring, qualified, and organized School Nurse. The School Nurse plays a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of students and staff, while supporting a safe and Christ-centered learning environment. The ideal candidate combines clinical competence with compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities
Health Services:

Provide direct nursing care to students and staff in case of illness or injury.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in compliance with school policies and physician instructions.

Manage and maintain student health records, including immunizations, allergies, and chronic conditions.

Monitor and assess contagious illnesses; report and follow up according to local and diocesan health guidelines.

Develop and implement individualized health care plans (IHPs) for students with special medical needs.
Health Education & Advocacy:

Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care through age-appropriate education and outreach.

Serve as a health resource for students, parents, and staff.

Collaborate with faculty to support health-related curriculum topics when appropriate.

Provide guidance during health-related crises (e.g., flu outbreaks, COVID-19 protocols).
Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and diocesan health regulations and documentation.

Maintain secure and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA.

Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response procedures.

Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
Job Requirements
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State Name].

Current CPR/First Aid certification.

Experience working with children or adolescents.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
