Job Summary
St Joseph Catholic School, Josephville a faith-based Catholic elementary school, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kindergarten Teacher who will provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and Christ-centered learning environment. The ideal candidate will foster academic growth, social-emotional development, and spiritual formation in young children, while actively supporting the mission of Catholic education.
Job Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons that integrate academic standards, developmental milestones, and Catholic values.

Create a structured yet flexible classroom environment that fosters faith, curiosity, and creativity.

Incorporate Catholic teachings and traditions into daily routines, prayer, and instruction.

Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

Support students in developing early literacy, numeracy, motor, and social-emotional skills.

Maintain positive communication and collaboration with parents, school staff, and administration.

Monitor and assess student progress and maintain accurate records and report cards.

Participate in school-wide liturgies, service projects, professional development, and community events.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.

Uphold and model Catholic values and the teachings of the Church in word and deed.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field

Valid teaching certification (state-specific).

Previous experience teaching Kindergarten or early childhood education (preferred).

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and formation of the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
